Casa Marcella is located in Puerto Morelos. Only a short twenty minute drive south of Cancun, the gateway to the Riviera Maya. So close to absolutely everything. But it has a way of feeling like you're a million miles away from everywhere!
The Villa at Casa Marcella is a tastefully decorated, beautiful two story home. The first floor has an elegant entry, with a guest bath, a fully equipped kitchen with bar. A dining room and living room. Each opens onto a large covered terrace that faces the sea. There is a courtyard with a beautiful Mexican tiled fountain. Downstairs there is also an air conditioned master bedroom suite with a patio that is adjacent to the pool.
Upstairs there are two air conditioned master bedroom suites. One bedroom has a king size bed, the other a queen. Each bedroom has a terrace that overlooks the sea.
Imagine watching the sunrise in the east over the Caribbean. You can also experience fantastic sunsets over the jungle to the west from our other second story terrace that overlooks the pool.
Casa Marcella also has two air conditioned Cabanas. One has a King size bed, the other has two doubles. Each cabana has French doors that open onto your covered terrace next to the pool. There is also a kitchenette and bathroom in each cabana.
In summary. Casa Marcella has five bedrooms that can accommodate twelve adults in comfort. Each bedroom has it's own private bath. Consequently it's a perfect place for your large group, or family reunion.
Casa Marcella... is In a perfect location to enjoy all of the things that there are to do in this wonderful part of the world. Just minutes from either Cancun or Playa del Carmen. Explore the archaeological Mayan ruins of Tulum or Chitzen Itza. Tres Rios and Xcaret, the paradise where natural beauty, culture and tradition are carefully blended into an experience you'll remember for a lifetime.
Perhaps you might take a ferry boat ride to the islands of Cozumel or Isla Mujeres for the day. Or maybe visit the bullfights in Cancun. The choices are endless.
But it takes a lot to beat just plain old hanging out at the beach. You can walk the beach for an hour in either direction, and most times see nothing more than Pelicans diving for fish, or Sandpipers scurrying about in their search for gifts left by the receding sea. You'll rarely see more than a handful of people as you stroll the beach. Gather some Conch shells can be found in the shallow waters of your Caribbean beach.
Perhaps in the afternoon you might want to take a siesta in your hammock prior to your evening at one of the many five star restaurants in Cancun. Enjoy fine cuisine from around the world. And then perhaps a night club, or show. A few places that we really enjoy are...

Another place we enjoy very much is LA DOLCE VIDA. It is located in the hotel zone across from the Marriott Casa Magna. Great food and great service.
PERICOS is another wonderful place in Cancun for a great night of entertaining fun and good food. A memorable evening for the whole family. The entertainment is nonstop.
If you prefer something a little closer to home. Why not try one of the several restaurants in Puerto Morelos.. They offer a wide variety of great food at great prices.
JOHN GRAY'S KITCHEN is owned and operated by John Gray. John was a chef with the Ritz Carlton. As you can imagine, the food is wonderful.
DAVID LAU'S A variety of great foods at reasonable prices. With a wonderful menu that includes authentic Oriental dishes, Pasta & Pizza. David's menu has variety of choices that will please everyone in your party
LA PIRATA. An inexpensive little place with great breakfasts and lunches. A good place for a light dinner.
POSADA AMOR. another great local restaurant. They serve a wonderful breakfast buffet on Sundays.
On Wednesday mornings you'll find the open air fruit and vegetable farmers market held next to the Catholic church. Why not pick up some wonderful fresh produce. Then meet the local fishermen at the pier as they come back with today's catch. Have the fisherman filet a nice Grouper or Snapper. Or perhaps pick up a couple of Caribbean Lobster. All of them make for a wonderful barbecue for your poolside dinner at Casa Marcella.
Puerto Morelos is a Mayan fishing village that is suspended in time, a peaceful haven in these hectic times.
The Mexican government has declared the Palancar Reef, which is just offshore, an ecological preserve. This reef is the second largest in the world. Second only to the Great Barrier reef in Australia!

The town square in Puerto Morelos is a local gathering place for locals and visitors alike. This is the place where children play, the young people play soccer or basketball, and the adults sit and share the latest local gossip. There might even be a group of local musicians to offer an impromptu concert of their talents.
